My Very first Mailart!

I heard from Dawn today that she has received my mail art exchange so I can finally show it. So here are pics of the front, back and even the fabric for the inside. It was a teddy bear theme. I also included the remaining fabric in her envelope and a Halloween pencil too. I wanted to include some other teddy themed items but couldn't get a hold of any over here. I'm so glad you like it Dawn. It was fun to make too so I may enter into more MA exchanges when I get settled in Colorado.

EDITED: OK address thing fixed. Sorry had a mommy brain moment and completely spaced about the addresses.  Thanks everyone for the reminder. :)

I'm terrible

Here is the amurgurami owl I made May 2nd and I started a amurgurami mushroom but only got about 90% done when I went eh, I don't want to do this anymore. I made this owl for my mom who loves owls.

Anyway on the 4th we went out and looked around and while out I found The Sims 2 Castaway for Wii and I bought it and have been connected to that for this entire week so I have no stitching to show you but I did beat it and completed all the goals too so I promise to have some stitching to show you on my next post.

DH and I have been getting things together and ready for his deployment. Yesterday we went to legal and looked over our wills that we never got signed from last year and other than they have to change 2007 to 2008 everything looks good. We are also getting power of attorneys done up too and so today we go sign all of that and legal will be done with.

The weather has actually been nice out and so I got a lot of flower planting done and even some put into pots so I can have flowers inside the house too.

Wait! I do have stitching to show. Remember my mothers day towel exchange, well my partner received it and she loved it saying the towel was the softest she ever felt. Anyway heres what I stitched for her. This was completed April 27th BTW

Miribilia Halloween Fairy and Monochromatic exchange

Alrighty Blogger is finally loading up pictures so here is what I stitched this month.
October 1st through October 15th

October 15th through October 22nd

October 22nd through October 29th

And I had an exchange come in also, this was for the monochromatic colour exchange through TOL, my partner chose purple for me and funny enough I chose purple for my partner. Emilie in Nova Scotia sent me this cute scissor fob and little silver scissors, it was her first one and I think she did a great job. Thanks Emilie!
And here is what I sent my partner, I'm drawing a blank right now on who I sent to but I used different shades of purple, this was my second needlebook but I like how this one came out better, I used a plastic canvas on the inside to stiffen it up more so it was more like a book.

Birthday gifts, exchanges and a new finish!

First of all I have to say a HUGE thanks to Jenna and Michelle.

Yesterday I received a gift certificate from Michelle for Down Sunshine Lane. I was thrilled and heres what I got:

Romance In Bloom by dragonfly stitchersAnd San Man's Winter square. I also bought some beads and some Krienik floss and some beading needles since mine are too big for the beads I have. Again Thanks a ton Michelle! Its okay that you didn''t get a chance to send something stitchy. :)

And Jenna had my name for the xmas/bday club. She heard I really wasn't doing much of anything for my bday so she sent me 2 packages full of wonderful gifts:

Notice anything? Look at what she stitched. That's Right! Its part of the set I ordered last night! LOL She made a sachet, scissor fob with scissors, Altoid tin made up beautifully, and a biscournu. The scissor fob she stitched over one on some very tiny count, maybe 32 or higher. She also included 3 hand towels to stitch on, 4 fat quarters, some awesome cross stitch fabrics from silkweaver, some french cards with a matching journal. And a bunch of floss, which Jenna I can tell I didn't have. Theres some DMC including a Precious Metal effects, The Gentle Art threads a couple of carries creations, and some six strand sweets. I feel so spoiled these last two days. THANK YOU SO MUCH JENNA!!!!

And now onto stitchy finishes, I completed the second and final picture for my older sisters bday, now thy both needed washing, ironing and framing which I will get done this week.

Sorry for the dark picture. This fabric really is much lighter.

Also since my partner for the May Flowers Exchange flopped on me and didn't send, Judith who was running the exchange was oh so sweet as to send me a replacement, which I recieved the other day. Its just beautiful and I plan to fill it with lavender.

Thank you Judith!

Book/bookmark exchange & baby blanket

Well stitchy news first: I received my book.bookmark exchange from Margie, she did a wonderful job!

Now on to other news, my pregnant friend Enya just found out shes having a boy! Which is great since thats what she wanted, though her DH wants a girl. Anyway, I have started a baby blanket for the little tike:

I thought about adding a hunter green into the mix but then I have to order it and then wait. The blanket will be about 35 inches once completed. I also want to make a pair os socks, a hat and an outfit to go with the blanket all in matching colors kinda like one big set.
My DH already told her I was going to make her something for her baby and thats why I wanted to know the sex when she found out. I was so mad at him for it since I wanted it to be a surprise, though she has no idea what i am making for her so I told my DH to keep his lips zipped.

Peacock Stitching Chair complete!

Well, here it is completed and mailed out, though she will be getting it a few days late since I was sick and all. Here are some pics of it finished:

And I even found some Peacock scissors to match:

And I also mailed out my May flowers exchange and my book/bookmark exchange and I will send pictures of those when I know my partners have received them. It was my very first bookmark and since I got behind I had to put one together quickly.

I am still working on PIF gifts. I will be mailing out a couple of them on my next pay day so you can look forward to pictures of those as they are received. :)

I'm back with pictures. :o)

First, I'm sorry guys to have left you hanging for this long, my DH was kind enough to not pay our phone/internet bill and we were turned off and that's how I found out he wasn't paying it. So now I am taking charge and paying myself each month. Anyway on to updates

On the stitchy front:

I received a PIF gift (her name escapes me right now) I was thrilled to see this, its awesome, thank you!:

Also I was part of a mystery exchange, here's what I sent since she has now received it:

And here's what I received in return from Iseabail, its a covered tape measure, beautiful BTW: And finally I have been working on the Peacock stitching chair. Here's some pics of the WIP:

This is the arm bands and the front of the drawer, theres a tassel that goes in the middle of the initials and the year. The bands took me 2 days to get done as I had to be sure they were opposite so when put together they would match.

Here is the scissor fob, it took me a few days too because for some reason I had to keep frogging the border around the year. I was spacey or something those days.

And here is the front of the chair, its not finished but will be today.

Carolyn: I'm sorry if it seems I am going fast on this one, I did receive your email and I believe I sent you one back. I have to finish this by the 15th to get it out in the mail so my mom will receive it in time for her bday on the 22nd. I plan to stitch a second one for me so keep going on yours please.

Also: I sent Dawn a belated bday gift and forgot to post pictures after she recieved it so here they are:

And on the bday/xmas club my partner Veronica's bday was April 13th, the day for my DH's bday and here is what I sent to her:

She's learning to knit and all and only had one set of needles so I bought her another 3 sets, plus some stitch markers, yarn, floss, a mix of teas, aida fabric and a card. I'm glad she liked it all. :o)

On the other side: About a week ago: My DH went to Sweinfurt for some training for 10 days and he twisted his ankle badly He is on crutches. He tripped stepping out of a 5 ton vehicle, twisting the same ankle that last year in July I had broke. LOL I had to laugh when he called and told me. He has to be on crutches for this week and then light walking for next week and then he should be fine.
My biological father came into town too, he was contracting in Iraq and took time off and got here May 1st. Its been nice since the last time we saw each other was 3 years ago. Though some things about him are driving me crazy, like his obsession with my kitchen, there can never be one dish in the ink or he washes it and then I get lectured on why I should have a strainer for the dishes next to my sink. I have a dishwasher but he won't really use it. There are some other things too but I don't want to spend this post complaining about him.

Also my DH's mother and stepfather arrived on April 19th and left May 4th. We met them at the airport and all and spent the day with them. But the DH left the next day to Sweinfurt, so they refused to visit or even call while he was gone. When the DH asked them when he returned they said I could have called them but they knew my phone wasn't working. I could only receive phone calls. I was so mad, again this woman is blaming her lack of whatever on me. You know they only spoke to my girls once in 15 months and that was a week before they arrived and also because I made my DH hand the phone to the girls.
Anyway I guess thats about it. I will be spending time in the next few days catching up and commenting on all of your blogs.
Oh! Before I forget I sent out postcards to everyone who sent me there snail mail for our post card exchange. Whitcalla I received yours. Malaysia looks beautiful, I'm now considering my vacation for there next year. :o)

Post Xmas Exchange and Mail! Also PIF

First, I am feeling a lot better now. My head is no longer clogged feeling and I can breath some though I am still getting plugged up at night, so maybe another day or two before I fully recover. My two little ones are still sick but slowly getting better. They both got more medicine today from the clinic.

Second, I had joined a Post Xmas Blues Exchange, where you send $10 of anything to cheer the other person up and yesterday I received mine. I am sending mine tomorrow, its been packaged and ready for almost 2 weeks! Hey, I have been sick and the deadline is the end of February so tomorrow I am off to the post office to send everything out.

Susy did an excellent job didn't she? I definitly don't have any xmas blues after opening this. I sure hope my receiver likes theirs.

I still have no stitching to show sadly. I bought this Gamecube game called Sims 2: Pets and I have been attached to it for a week now! I know too much TV, lol. I have to pull away anyways since I have Bday gifts to work on. I will try to stitch some other things too so I can have something to show you guys.

Thank you ALL for your sweet comments. They really helped. I appreciate all of you who take the time to comment here. Thank you again. :o)

EDIT: Okay DH came home with an arm full of stuff, lol. From my wonderful Aunt Leala who is as excited as I am to have another crocheter in the family. She sent all the way from St. Vancouver, Washington. The Annies Attic binder of crochet barbie patterns. She joined this when her daughter was young and since now her daughter is all grown up she past the binder to me. Also she sent me some cute food patterns. So yes, in the near future you may be seeing some crochet projects on here. I apologize in advance for my fellow bloggers who are not fond of crochet.

Also I had bought some cross stitch patterns from a nice lady who needed help lightening her load of xs patterns and 3 weeks later they have finally arrived! Here they are:

Now I have this awful decision on what to start first, LMAO. I am definitly feeling better. :o)

Okay for PIF I have:

Cindy - Got your info

Jennifer - Got your info

Cheryl - Got your info

Sonya - Got your info

And I have one spot left so anyone who wants it please email me your snail mail and put PIF in the subject box.

Kanzashi

Okay I saw these another another blog called My Little Mochi at http://www.casacenina.com/catalog/products_new.php?cPath=24 and she had made some little flowers called Kanzashi and if you go to this link http://www.vivcore.com/kanzashi_core.html you can see some other things this lady has made. Its amazing I think and it makes me want to try it out but I have to dig for some material here. There is a neat little tutorial on how to make these flowers too. But not on how to piece them together so that will be interesting trying to get them to hold together....

I also wanted to show you this real quick. It's my exchange for the ornament exchange. I decided to stick with the snowman theme and am sending as rewuired one stitched and one bought ornament. Added bonus: my iris folded snowman card and a ornament/pin with a cute little scarf and hat. :-) Its going to Australia. This lady doesn't read my blog so its ok to post all this. I hope she likes it, it's all in her christmas colors.
