Photobucket Fair and Square Summer Round

Monthly SMO SAL. I started at the lower right corner but this one is a bit hard to get into.

Photobucket

Here is my EMS Rose Sampler with parts 5 and 6 completed. I did do a few stitches on this months part 7 but not enough worth another picture yet. And so I then got a bit tired of the continous DMC 333 so I heard my peacock stitching chair calling out to me to work on it so i did! I continued working on the arms and am on the last row before completion. The fabric and colours look a bit faded in the picture but I assure you they are darker. So here it is:

Our computer crashed too so I am not sure how long it will be before I am online again so please be patient with me. I'll be back as much as I can.

Finished Part 6 EMS Rose Sampler

Well, I completed part 6 of my EMS Rose Sampler and did a little bit of my monthly SMO SAL and also started part 7 of the rose sampler but I am afraid there are still no pics. I am using the laptop and don't know a way to use it to upload pics yet. I think I can use our extra drive to transfer them. But anyways we have been living at the local swimbad this week and are going again today in about 30 minutes. So I will try and figure it out tonight and maybe by tomorrow I will have tons of pics to show you. :)

Happy Stitching everyone!

EMS Rose Sampler Part 6 WIP

Well amongst my issues with the ISP once again, I have been working on Part 6 of the EMS Rose Sampler. I just need to finish up the rose and part 6 will be completed. And then I can work on part 7. I know this is all you guys have seen in awhile but I am really in the mood to just stitch on this piece right now so I figure I might as well run with it since I am behind anyways. Sorry about no pics but its not wanting to load up so I guess I will try next time. But my ISP keeps going ina nd out so I better publish while I have it.

Destiny also finished stitching a little butterfly she had been working on which I'll show a picture of next time. She has picked a PINN chart to stitch. Its a little Chinese boy holding a fish. I had kitted it up earlier in the year meaning to sticth it for my lil sister as a birthday gift but Destiny wants to try a big piece and so I figured, why not? I'll let you all know how she does. I may have to get her own blog for her soon. :)

Hedgehogs And Stitching

I completed part 5 of my EMS Rose Sampler. :) So here it is:

Also we were moving some furniture at around 11 pm the other night when my DH stepped outside for some air and he saw this little hedgehog running across our front yard. I had to run and get the kids after he showed me. Yes, I woke them up to show them, but he had curled into a ball by the time they got out there and Kiley got scared of it and Destiny was eager for it to unroll and run so she could see its not just a ball of spikes. You can see his foot on part of our hose under that ball.

Purple Tulip Pincushion

Well last night I made this pincushion. I know I got the pattern from somewhere online but cannot locate it right now. I'm putting it in my etsy shop if anyone is interested. I'll probably be making some more as i have the supplies at home and its so I can have some stash buying money. Plus, I am going to go through my supplies and see what patterns i have that I won't do or ones I have done but won't do again. I hope you all will take a look.

Sniffle

On the 15th we were going to buy Destiny a bunny for herself. Well DH left to get an oil change done on the car and while he was gone cocoa died, yep a horrible death that made me cringe and still haunts me in my sleep. No one killed him, OK? He was trying to get up after his peaceful nights rest and couldn't lift his head. So he started moving all four legs like crazy throwing litter out of the cage and then he started making these noises and this went on for like 10 minutes and the girls saw and it was just horrible! And you know how I can't even get near animals once they die so I stayed like 10 feet from his cage and he was in the main room and I couldn't bring myself to get close enough to put a sheet over his cage or nothing. I just texted DH to come home right away and stood on the balcony till he got home. Then we tried to call the vet cause Germany has laws saying you can't bury an animal. Well they didn't answer so we drove by and it turns out they were closed the whole day for surgery! So we asked some bike MP's and they had no idea and the chief at OMP told us to call pest control and then they told us they found someone who for 45 Euro would come get his body. Well, I am not paying 70 USD to dispose of our poor dead bunny and DH agrees so DH took him off post to the woods and buried him where no one could see what he was doing. Its easy since there's nothing but woods here. Well, destiny was all torn up and crying for hours and Kiley was a bit upset and kept saying "My bunny died, cocoa is dead" so DH decided Kiley would get a new bunny and Destiny would have to wait till next payday. That pissed me off since Destiny had been waiting 2 weeks as it was and it wasn't her fault we lost Cocoa on payday. Its Irony really that he dies the same day we were going to buy another one. Anyway we went and got Kiley a bunny and then did our grocery shopping the next day and I wouldn't let Mike put anything in the cart so I saved us $100, anyway so I then took out Euro and we went and let Destiny get her bunny. We got 2 boys both about 6 months old. Kiley's is cuddly and fluffy with long fur and loves to be held by adults. destiny's is feisty as hell and is taking a bit to get use to being held but doing good and he sat in destiny's lap for an hour today on the couch while she played a video game so he'll be fine. Here's a laugh though, their names? Kiley's' is Bobby (daddy helped her pick it) and Destiny chose to name hers: ready?? Michael! LMAO I told Mike he should be flattered she wants to name her bunny after her daddy. He laughed.

The top picture is Kiley's Bunny and the bottom one is Destinys and just to prove to you all that I have not just been doing nothing there is my stitching for the last 2 days. I am working on Part 5 of the EMS Rose sampler, I am kind of ignoring my other pieces right now though I do need to work on my SMO SAL this month too. Sorry about the blurry picture. Oh! I also have a kidney infection too! It was so bad I could hardly walk but I got some antibiotics and am OK now.

July 4th, bunnies, and a car.

Okay I just realized I hadn't shared our July 4th holiday with you. So here are some pics. We waited an hour in line to get the girls faces painted which they love having done. and then DH spent $20 USD on krispy kreme donuts. The nearest one to us is in France so they had them shipped to us. I told him why he was doing that when we could make them at home for a lot less? His answer? They won't taste the same. Yea. whatever. So then DH was hungry and with everything closed except the shoppette and neither of wanting to run home and cook a meal we get in the only food line there was. That was another hour wait just to find out they were out of cheeseburgers, hamburgers and hotdog buns. So we paid for 5 hotdogs with a slice of bread for each, 2 bags of chips, and 4 sodas. Now their was only 4 of us and when the girls saw the hotdogs they refused to eat them and only ate their chips and shared the soda dad bought them. My Dh ate 4 hotdogs and drank 2 sodas while I ate 1 hotdog and drank 1 soda. By then it was nearly 8 pm with fireworks not going off till 1030 So we took the girls thru a couple of jumping balloons and with all the screaming kids and the hot sun I was ready to leave. So we went to a friends house where the kids could play with their kids and they had a BBQ so DH ate yet again! I grabbed a beer and caught up with some friends. It was nice. really. I didn't relaize I was drinking dominican coronas which if you have ever had will mess you up pretty quickly so once the light headed drunk feeling started I stopped drinking. So we hung out and the kids watched the fireworks which my youngest Kiley exclaimed "Look mommy popping light bulbs!" LMAO that was just too cute! But we stayed till 230 am when i pestered my DH to lets go home as I was tired too and Kiley could hardly stand. We had walked to our frineds so Dh and I could both drink so we walked the 15 min home with DH carrying Kiley and Destiny crying because she didn't want to leave her bff. But we got home and the kids into bed and ourselves into bed by 3 am. When I woke up I had this killer headache, now I wasn't dizzy or anything by the time we went home, I had felt fine. But I couldn't sleep all night tossing and turning and could only figure that i slept on my pillow wrong. But i went grocery shopping and pet shopping too on the 5th with sunglasses on the whole time of course.

Now the pet shopping came up like this. It was the morning of the 5th and we were giving Cocoa his bunny vitamins. But Kiley threw a fit about destiny having any interaction with him as it was HER bunny. So daddy told Destiny he would buy her own bunny for her so we had to go shopping. we needed a bigger cage so we go to this new store where we were told has animal cages for cheap and they truly do but it was more of a hardware store so DH wanted to look at the lights and fans. ugh! So then we are driving down the street and I see the pet store I had gone too with one of my neighbors but didn't remember afterwards how to get there so we go in.They have treats and food and litter and fish out the wazoo! So we find an awesome deal on bunny litter too. We had found a cage at the first store along with a house for cocoa. So then we drive to a garden center that sells pets and she finds these little black and white spotted bunnies so cute! But then DH tells her on payday we would get her one. Okay so now after he shows her all this, he then tells her you a 6 year old must wait 10 days for your bunny and hope he is still there?? Ugh! I am ready to kill him by then especiallysince my migraine has worsened even with 4 excedrin gone through me by then and my daughter starts to cry and get upset becuase 10 days to her is an eternity. The woman in the pet store tells me that because we have a 6 or he could be 7 year old bunny at home it would be best to buy a female and fix the male. Um I don't think so as females stink when flo comes visiting and I refuse to go thru 8 to 12 years of that as it is so I explain toher that when i was a child my sisters and I owned rabbits i.e. 3 males all in one cage and they got along fine so there will be no fixing of bunnies. So she suggested that we start them out in 2 cages next to each other for 2 weeks and then let them out in the livingroom together to see how they react to each other which is fine to me since we will have 2 cages by then anyways. I plan to move cocoa to the bigger cage and put the baby in cocoas current cage hoping that he will adjust to cocoas scent easier and thus we can eventually put them in the same cage. I have to point out though that cocoa is extremely tame so I am not worried.

Now my DH when we arrived in germany said he wanted a BMW, he just HAD to have one. So we find a cute little blue one with next to no issues for 1400 Euro which at that time came out to about $2200 USD so not bad at all. Now here it is 2 years later and he knows we are going back to the states soon and there is a lot to do to the BMW to make it American specs so we can take it back. Basically we would have paid nearly $3000 to $4000 USD to make this happen and I'm sorry but my money tree just isn't producing this year. So DH spends a month hunting down and looking at American cars from soldiers PCSing and not wanting to pay to have their car taken back. Now the military will pay for car #1 but after that, you pay to ship all others back. So this week he lucked out. He found a 1998 Mitsubishi in Aqua 2 hours away from here. The guy wants $3500 USD and we are selling our BMW for $3000 USD so DH talks the guy down to the $3000 USD since he is leaving this week and needs to be rid of the car. All in all we now have sold the BMW and have the Mitsubishi which is now the envy of the neighborhood I am hearing. To me it is just a car but w/e. It has bucket seats in it too which DH loves. I just told him he best hope I never get pregnant while we have this car. I went through bucket seats when I was pregany with Destiny nearly 7 years ago and by the time I was 6 months along, I needed someone to come around to the passenger side and help pull me out.

Anyway i know I have talked your ears off and congrats to you if you have read this far. :0) I have one more FS exchange to stitch and then I am back to sticthing on things I can show you all. Thank you for being so patient thru all my drama here. I did read thru some blogs tonight and comment where I could so if I haven't commented on your blog yet, I will soon. I made it about halfway today so hopefully tomorrow I will be caught up.

I heard from Sandra that she has received my squares and she liked them! I'm so glad. :0) I really enjoyed stitching this.

I'm finishing up my Summer Round and have already picked out Round 8 squares which I think will stitch up quickly. I then want to try and do up another section from my EMS rose sampler which is only finished up till part 4 so yes I am behind on this. I'm sorry I haven't commented on blogs lately. If I get some time I will try tonight but life is still a bit hectic with this and that, I won't bore you with the details.

Fair and Square Round 7

I received my Fair and Square Round 7 squares from Sandra G. yesterday. Aren't they lovely? And look at the goodies she sent me. I had mailed hers out a little late due to me being in the klinikum with Destiny all day long. I hope she gets them soon. They are going all the way to Portugal.

I'm sorry I have had no additional stitching to show you as I am working on my Fair and Square summer round squares and then I will be doing up round 8 and after that I should have stitching to show you all again on a regular basis.

Non stitching News:

Destiny might get released tomorrow! yay! I want to say thank you to all those who commented on destiny. she is doing fine other than the Dr's have no clue as to why her sugar levels flucuate so much. They ran blood and urine test and found nothing and she has been fine and not acting sick.

Yesterday I had 2 teeth filled and my back right wisdom tooth was so loose the dentist just pulled it out so that saves me $242.00 USD out on the economy at the German dentist who I still have to go see to get the top right wisdom tooth pulled and then finally I will have no wisdom teeth. I will only need additional fillings but those can be done for free on post thankfully.
