I'm back! Warning: Lots of pictures!

So here are the puppies they are mini dachshunds. Mine is the black one with red cheeks and the other black one is flying here as well for my friend. There was one girl in the litter that went to the owners of the father. anyway their about 6 weeks old now. Hopefully within the next week I will know exactly when to expect my lil pup. we're naming him Oskar (i.e. Oskar Meyer wieners)
Here is the Fair and Square exchange I received the one I did and sent is farther down in the pictures. The pics didn't want to move after getting loaded and I don't feel like fighting with blogger today. I also completed my Peacock Stitching chair about August 9th I believe. And I worked on my collecting shells WIP too. Plus it was my birthday on August 12th too and I received a few gifts as you see below. Please forgive me if I don't go into detail on everything but I am coming down with something dreadful and I just want to go to bed right now. I am currently trying to get stitched my F&S Exchange round 9 and the Halloween round as they are both due out at the end of the month. I have one down and one to go but the motivation to stitch has seriously been lacking.

I apologize for my extremely long absence. My ISP quit completely and believe me it really took this long to get it fixed completely. But now everything is good. So what have I been up to? Umm, stitching and trying to get my newborn puppy from the states to here which he still isn't.

F&S Exchange Round 8 and PSC

Well I heard today that Nicky R. has received the Round 8 squares from Fair and Square and she loves them! I'm so glad that you got them safely and liked them Nicky.

I also finished the seat cushion for my Peacock Stitching Chair and am working on the back part of the chair which is the main piece with a peacock and the alphabet on it. And then I can put it all together. :) I'm getting excited cause I also have the 2nd chair in the series The Garden chair which I want to start next.

Peacock Stitching Chair and F&S Summer Round

Here is the arms completed along with the scissor holder too that I completed last night. I now only have the seat cushion and the main part with the alphabet which is the seat back. So perhaps another week depending on the weather. the girls and I have been at the swimbad everyday as long as the weather has been good. Its only a 5 minute walk from our house and we are there till 8 pm each time and by the time we come home we are all too tired to do anything but sit in front of the TV so chores are done in the mornings along with any stitching I do. Today we have had bad winds with large amounts of rain and DH is feeling ill from the Taco Bell we had last night in Graff. we had gone to visit DD's great grandparents and then went to Graff to put a pink Barbie mustang on layway for the girls. Its one they can get in and drive. By the time we pay it off its only about another 5 weeks before Destiny's bday and 10 days after that is Kileys bday so that may end up being there bday gift from us. Anyway I am off to work on the cfhair seat and my kitchen needs some cleaning up too.

This week I also recieved my Fair and Square exchange from Staci. Thank you Staci!

Happy Stitching everyone and thank you all who leave your comments, they help keep me motivated. :)

Monthly SMO SAL. I started at the lower right corner but this one is a bit hard to get into.

Here is my EMS Rose Sampler with parts 5 and 6 completed. I did do a few stitches on this months part 7 but not enough worth another picture yet. And so I then got a bit tired of the continous DMC 333 so I heard my peacock stitching chair calling out to me to work on it so i did! I continued working on the arms and am on the last row before completion. The fabric and colours look a bit faded in the picture but I assure you they are darker. So here it is:

Our computer crashed too so I am not sure how long it will be before I am online again so please be patient with me. I'll be back as much as I can.

EMS Rose Sampler and Peacock Stitching Chair

Saturday I decided to work on the arms of my 2nd Peacock Stitching chair and even though I was hoping to complete them, life got in the way and all the specialty stitches slowed me down. I still have to order quilt batting to complete this which I forgot to ask my floss mom for when I sent her a floss list I needed so I may just order this online instead of having her make a second trip. The stitching is not crooked, its just the way i took a picture. Its 2312 here so I am tired so please forgive the bad picture.

And today I worked on Part 4 of the EMS Rose Sampler. I completed most of part 4 so I feel I accomplished something today. Next week I can complete part 4 and start part 5 if there is time. I may catch up after all on my regular rotation. :)

Tomorrow Destiny has her Bridging ceremony where she bridges from being a Daisy scout to a Brownie scout. Her daddy won't make it since he is working night shifts again. He had to replace someone who is having marriage problems and cannot attend work for whatever reason. And DH also goes tomorrow to get new uniforms and gear for his deployment and so we have no idea when he will return and then he has to go to work again so he will be sleeping on the bus and inbetween missions. And I am betting come Wednesday mornign when he is finally off work he will sleep all day long. Anyway its late here and so i am off to bed. But I do leave you with this picture of Kiley holding our bunny Cocoa. He is well adapted to our family now and allows Kiley to take him everywhere. Oh! Also I am being honored on May 21st as a volunteer for the elementary school. It was a complete surprise to me! They are honoring all the volunteers. :)

Peacock stitching Chair #2, EMS Rose Sampler, and Exchanges

Okay so you know how I told you I had the itch to start something new? well the Peacock stitching chair won out. In one day i completed the scissor fob, chair sides, the front drawer, and part of the arms. I also am showing you the progress on my EMS Rose Sampler. Its really bothering me that I am behind on this so I have been working on it today to try and get it caught up especially since I am still on part 3 and part 5 is to be released in a week. So yes, I am trying my best to get caught up before I get too far behind. But soon I have to quit becuase my Mothers day towel exchange is due to mail out May 1st and I haven't even started on it yet but no worries! I will complete it in time. :)

I just heard today that my partner has received my Monchromatic biscournu exchange on the floss moms board. Rachel I am so glad you liked it and all the goodies inside. :) I chose Green as my theme and used many colors of greens to stitch her 5 inch biscournu and even used a mint green fabric to stitch it on. I used a green flower button for the center of the biscournu. If any of you remember it is the same buttons I used on both DD's sweaters, I just changed out the center so both center and outside would be green. Here is what I sent to her:
The front and back of the biscournu before stitching together.

On a bad side, I have not stitched Thursday through Sunday because I have been a bit down. My DH is getting ready for his first deployment at the end of the summer to the worst place of all and its not Iraq. They may stick him with another unit and that would move us from bamberg to K town, which i am dreading. I have finally settled here and things are going good with the school and Destiny's diabetes German Dr and I don't know what they have set up in K town not to mention its huge there and the base is divided up into four bases and I don't drive here, the orads are too small and make me nervous so I never bothered to try and get my liscence here. DH's SGT is trying to make it a temporary thing that he goes with this unit so we can stay in Bamberg which I am asking everyone pray that it happens and of course for DH's safe return. I just heard today from my upstairs neighbor that her DH who is also an 88M like my DH was injured today while driving a convoy, it was just his leg but still it makes me worry more. Her little girl who is Destiny's age is sitting on their balcony while her mommy is on the phone looking as depressed as can be. I just wanted to go up there and hug her.

DH has food poisioning today too. Turns out I had some expired eggs in my refrigerator and he ate them. I don't really cook eggs so when I do I check the expiration date on te package but he didn't and he ate a few yesterday. Now he is vomiting and can't keep anything down and has been in bed since they let him come hoem finally at 1500. I feel for him, I hate that this has to just run its course and there's nothing I can do to make him feel better. So this is my life lately, hopefully things will get better soon but as I am not working this week it just leaves more time to worry and stress and when I am like that it is hard for me to sit down and stitch.

Peacock Stitching Chair complete!

Well, here it is completed and mailed out, though she will be getting it a few days late since I was sick and all. Here are some pics of it finished:

And I even found some Peacock scissors to match:

And I also mailed out my May flowers exchange and my book/bookmark exchange and I will send pictures of those when I know my partners have received them. It was my very first bookmark and since I got behind I had to put one together quickly.

I am still working on PIF gifts. I will be mailing out a couple of them on my next pay day so you can look forward to pictures of those as they are received. :)

I'm back with pictures. :o)

First, I'm sorry guys to have left you hanging for this long, my DH was kind enough to not pay our phone/internet bill and we were turned off and that's how I found out he wasn't paying it. So now I am taking charge and paying myself each month. Anyway on to updates

On the stitchy front:

I received a PIF gift (her name escapes me right now) I was thrilled to see this, its awesome, thank you!:

Also I was part of a mystery exchange, here's what I sent since she has now received it:

And here's what I received in return from Iseabail, its a covered tape measure, beautiful BTW: And finally I have been working on the Peacock stitching chair. Here's some pics of the WIP:

This is the arm bands and the front of the drawer, theres a tassel that goes in the middle of the initials and the year. The bands took me 2 days to get done as I had to be sure they were opposite so when put together they would match.

Here is the scissor fob, it took me a few days too because for some reason I had to keep frogging the border around the year. I was spacey or something those days.

And here is the front of the chair, its not finished but will be today.

Carolyn: I'm sorry if it seems I am going fast on this one, I did receive your email and I believe I sent you one back. I have to finish this by the 15th to get it out in the mail so my mom will receive it in time for her bday on the 22nd. I plan to stitch a second one for me so keep going on yours please.

Also: I sent Dawn a belated bday gift and forgot to post pictures after she recieved it so here they are:

And on the bday/xmas club my partner Veronica's bday was April 13th, the day for my DH's bday and here is what I sent to her:

She's learning to knit and all and only had one set of needles so I bought her another 3 sets, plus some stitch markers, yarn, floss, a mix of teas, aida fabric and a card. I'm glad she liked it all. :o)

On the other side: About a week ago: My DH went to Sweinfurt for some training for 10 days and he twisted his ankle badly He is on crutches. He tripped stepping out of a 5 ton vehicle, twisting the same ankle that last year in July I had broke. LOL I had to laugh when he called and told me. He has to be on crutches for this week and then light walking for next week and then he should be fine.
My biological father came into town too, he was contracting in Iraq and took time off and got here May 1st. Its been nice since the last time we saw each other was 3 years ago. Though some things about him are driving me crazy, like his obsession with my kitchen, there can never be one dish in the ink or he washes it and then I get lectured on why I should have a strainer for the dishes next to my sink. I have a dishwasher but he won't really use it. There are some other things too but I don't want to spend this post complaining about him.

Also my DH's mother and stepfather arrived on April 19th and left May 4th. We met them at the airport and all and spent the day with them. But the DH left the next day to Sweinfurt, so they refused to visit or even call while he was gone. When the DH asked them when he returned they said I could have called them but they knew my phone wasn't working. I could only receive phone calls. I was so mad, again this woman is blaming her lack of whatever on me. You know they only spoke to my girls once in 15 months and that was a week before they arrived and also because I made my DH hand the phone to the girls.
Anyway I guess thats about it. I will be spending time in the next few days catching up and commenting on all of your blogs.
Oh! Before I forget I sent out postcards to everyone who sent me there snail mail for our post card exchange. Whitcalla I received yours. Malaysia looks beautiful, I'm now considering my vacation for there next year. :o)

Today the remainder of my stash has arrived! My miribilia kits:

And last but not least Mlady Snow by PR, I ordered all the floss, beads, and fabric for it at the same time.:

So which will I do first? The first of two Peacock stitching chairs. Carolyn have you got your in yet? I'm waiting to SAL with you. :o)
On the stitching side I have been stitching but its a gift and so therefore I cannot show you any of it. But no worries this week I will have something to show you. I am eager to start some of these but I must finish my gift first.
