Happy birthday Rowan! Congrats sisters!
February 13th my eldest nephew Rowan turned 7 years old. Happy birthday! Anyway here is his cake and a few pics including his mom and dad. It was just a small family celebration. Auntie Lynnette couldn't make it as she had to work and Uncle Shawn forgot it was his nephews birthday.....we won't go there LOL.
I had to include the last picture of Kiley as she was just diving into this ice cream cake like it was going out of style! We were all having a good time that night.
BAD NEWS:
My normal morning routine starts out with my phone alarm waking me up at 0700 meaning its time to get up, wake up Destiny, check her blood sugar levels, give her two insulin shots, feed her breakfast, brew coffee. Then while she eats I get to sit down and enjoy my coffee while I check my email and all by 0730 on the weekends. Anyway this past Saturday morning instead of hearing my alarm go off, it was my phone ringing. My mom calling which that early in the mornings means something is wrong. My Uncle John had passed away in his sleep. It wasn't surprising as his health was failing fast over the last 5 weeks. My Aunt Leala was driving up daily to sit with him all day in the hospital. Some days he was lucid and they could have a conversation but most days his memory was failing him. It was a hard reminder to me that Destiny could be going through that one day in the future. My Uncle John was a diabetic but he would sit at work all day and then come home and sit till bedtime, and this was him over the last 30 years or so. Which made his leg muscles very weak. Now I know he had a lot more health problems going on and its not just the diabetes, but since he was in a hospital and not really wanting to eat, it messed with his blood glucose levels and that takes a toll on his body. Anyway I want bore you with anymore details. I met him one time in my life when Destiny was a baby and we emailed too. He was a sweet man and will be dearly missed. He leaves behind a wonderful wife, two kids Trish and Scott and several grandbabies and other family. We love you Uncle John.
MORE GOOD NEWS
My older sister is getting married!!! Lynnette and her dbf Shawn will be getting married on April 30th. Pop over to her blog to see her engagement ring and to read more about her adorable son.
BOTH my sisters are pregnant! My little sister Heather (the one in the picture above) is just finishing up her first trimester of baby #2. And after a few days of her son crying that he doesn't want a little sister or brother, he is finally excited to be having either one. CONGRATS! I still say I am sorry Jeremy as I know this is your first and you didn't know that Heather would turn into a sleeping, eating, puking machine and her labor isn't much better either! Expect screams of agony when she is only 1 cm dilated. Best of luck!
My older sister Lynnette and her soon to be husband Shawn are pregnant with baby #2. They wanted to wait till Poe was a year old before trying but well God had other intentions for them. ^_^ Poe is only 5 months old and she just found out this past Saturday that she is expecting! Congrats to you both! Good luck with the move to a bigger place too. Hopefully you can move here so I won't have to drive 3 hours one way just to see you all. My offer still stands!
Both my sisters first kids are boys so I only have nephews. So will the baby gods (LOL) please give them both or even one of them a girl?? I want a niece. Am I asking too much? LOL. I'll be happy with whichever they have. I love my nephews even if Rowan treats me like I'm chopped liver and tells me I should leave my daughters there forever so they can always play.
And to end off on a cute note, here's my adorable nephew Poe (i.e PB&J)

My younger sister Heather holding our adorable nephew
My older sister with of course her son, baby Poe
My nephew Rowan being goofy, he s so hyper and loud, I think it makes me happy that I have two girls lol
My moms Bernese Mountain Dog, Panda, who is just a huge teddy bear and loves the kids so much plus he is a huge mommas boy.
And our Christmas tree with all the pressies under the tree.
I found a little sewing machine for $20 at Michael's and was so thrilled! I think this has to be Destiny's favorite gift though they both got lots of barbies and a barbie jeep to boot! LOL The holidays were great though we didn't get to go out for New Year's but its ok, DH and I watched TV shows and then slept.
Well thats it for today. I'm looking for a new TUSAL container as I want to do it again this year.
Happy Stitching!

Happy 29th Birthday sis!
Today yes on September 11th, 1980 my mom gave birth to my older and head strong sister Lynnette! Happy birthday sis!
Of laughter, joy and fun,
Surprises, love and happiness,
And when your birthday’s done,

Birthday and a teddy bear
As most of you know, yesterday was my birthday but with DH gone, I wasn't really in the mood to celebrate. My dad called and my older sis Lynnette IM'd me plus I got various texts and calls and friends stopping by so don't get me wrong I didn't just sit at home and sulk. I didn't receive any stitchy gifts which does not shock or upset me as I know I have been kind of "absent" this year. Anyway the above photos are some of my small celebration with the kids. (Please ignore my dirty stove, I was on a cleaning ban yesterday) They decorated the cake and surprised me with the way it looks. They had a blast ^_^

I was stitching this weekend!
Okay so I sewed together the Precious Moments crib blanket for Lynnette. Please excuse the photo, the blanket isn't crooked, I was when I snapped the photo. Its actually large enough to fit easily onto a toddler bed.

Also here is Destiny using the sewing machine. She wanted to sew a pillow for her sister so she picked out a few pieces of felt and I set her up on the machine. She is still learning to sew a straight line and pay attention as she goes but she did pretty good for a 7 year old. ^_^

And after I set up Destiny I was in this huge mood to stitch! I have this adorable blue fabric with lady bugs and daisies on it and it made me think of a perfect pattern! Plus I want to turn it into a pillow for our couch I think. Anyway its another freebie called Love Bug. I am using silkweavers 32 count paradise blue. I'm so happy my stitching bug is back! It feels good to stitch again!
On the non crafting side. DH signed us up for a few fun trips in June while my mom is here and yes she is coming with. We are going to legoland on June 20th and Europa Park on June 27th. They are both all day trips but we paid 80.00 USD for 5 people for each one and this includes entry fees and travel both ways. So its a great deal!
4 more weeks of school left!

Baby Blanket Completed!
I did cross stitch a little on my monthly Christmas ornaments but not enough to really show you. Destiny is also working on one of them as their are 5 total. Hers is going as slow as mine.
I am going to try and do up my Round 13 squares for the Fair and Square exchange. I want to be able to mail them out Friday even though the mailout date is not until June 15th but my mom arrives on the 12th and DH is taking from June 1st till June 19th for block leave so I may not even make it up to the mail room during the month of June.

So Much to say!
Okay first Vermillion Stitchery has released their March door, another cute design! Click Here
Second, the new gift of stitching magazine is out and I just love Helga Mandl's new design! So cute! So look forward to seeing it here as that's what I am going to stitch next. I just had errands yesterday and I have more today so maybe tonight I can start on it.
Third, Have you guys seen the Precious Moments, Noah's Ark Crib set? Its discontinued but the one my sister seems to want for her crib set, she doesn't like any of the other PM designs so I hunted for this set and came up empty. Yesterday i found a website that sells discontinued fabrics and surprisingly the panel was there too! So excited! I ordered the panel, backing fabric, and even some Mint Green blanket binding to match. So I can sew her the blanket and order her some PM crib sheets and she will still get her crib set that she wanted! I took the images from the site so here is the front and back of the blanket:

Bob and a new blogger
We got a new pet! Yes he is a guinea pig. His name is Bob but the girls want to change it. Our upstairs neighbor had him before but as he was being mean to the other 2 she had, he had to find a new home. I told her he could try living with us for a bit and if he can get along with the bunnies then he could stay. He is a year old right now and about 12 inches long. Thankfully we have a big cage so it should all be fine. Batitsta wants so bad to play with him and smelled him instantly when I brought him inside. ^_^
As for the new blogger its my older sis, Lynnette. She stitches too like most of us but hasn't done it too much lately. Anyway she posted her first entry which is nearly a novel itself. But if your up to it, you can see her blog here.
I have no stitching or crocheting to show you today as I am still working on my fair and square rounds and then a birthday gift so it may be a week before you see any crafting pics up unless I get bored or something. Hey I am a woman and I do change my mind as much as the hour of the day changes.

First I want to say thank you to all the kind comments about my horrible day. The rest of my week was a lot better. DH didn't arrive home until midnight Thursday night so he slept most of Friday morning (good thing it was a 4 day weekend for him) Friday evening DH returned home from the post office with my monthly ornaments so this month was beading. Destiny helped do up the dark blue one, she did good. ^_^ She enjoyed it so much she asked if I would order some more for her to do so I guess I will have to look into it. ^_^
My moms plane ticket was also bought and paid for so she will be arriving in Frankfurt at 0745 June 12th. We will all have to get up extremely early to go pick her up but thats ok as the kids and I can dose while DH drives and I am sure he will just go to bed early the night before. We have plans to spend the day in Frankfurt as my mom said we have family there?? I don't know them and I don't know if she knows them personally or if they are long lost relatives from my grandpa Bolte's side.
It also rained this past Saturday like cats and dogs but that apparently didn't stop the candy man! LOL I had to snap a pic to show you all. For everyone in the USA, the candy man here is like the ice cream man there. He has his music and drives around post selling German candies, mainly gummy candies. Kiley had to comeo out onto the patio and jump into my picture as well. ^_^ And if your curious what our car looks like, its the green mitsubishi you see by Kiley's head.

And here is MLOTS as of this morning. I worked on her most of the weekend trying to finish up her cape. I was going to bead her arm and the top part of her outfit before starting on her skin colors but for the life of me could not find a bead needle that would work with the small beads. I have no idea what i did with the one I used before. So I think on the 15th I will be placing an order with 123stitch.
Here is a baby balnket I started for Lynnette's baby. I figure if she has a girl a will weave in some pick ribbon in certain places to girl it up some more. I have no idea why its making this wierd shape so I am hoping that once its finished and I wash it and block it, it will be okay.
And I leave you with a picture of dear Destiny stitching on her Chinese Boy this morning. Please excuse the multiple stuff around her, as we were doing crafts in the living room all weekend. Ok I am off to work on my next two exchanges as I want to run to the post office with them on the 15th.
Happy Stitching!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!
I got DH to wash Batista this weekend and he just sat in the tub and allowed himself to get washed and then since DH knows I cannot be around wet animals as it closes up my lungs (found this out the hard way) so he used the blow dryer on Batista, I guess it felt good cause he laid down until finished. And I guess that was just too tiring too cause he went into his kennel and curled up into his bed and went to sleep. ^_^

And here is how far I got on Coffin Buzz Saturday when I called my older sister Lynnette in Wyoming and found out that she is 5 weeks pregnant with their first child!! She is a fellow stitcher as well just no blog yet but I keep telling her to get one (hint, hint sis) Anyway I am sooo excited!!!!! Her and her boyfriend Shawn have been trying for nearly a year so its awesome she is finally going to be a mommy! Shawn is already hinting at her about a second child, LMAO. She hinted at a Layette set for the baby so.....

Anyway I put away Coffin Buzz and pulled out my Hooked on Crochet magazines and found this cute onsie, so I pulled out my white with sparkles and my green soft yarn and got to work. I have about 5 more rows of white left and then its time to work on the body. So I am telling you all that there will probably lots of baby stuff on here for the majority of the year. Her theme is Precious Moments of course, ^_^ Wanna hear something ironic? About 2 weeks ago I ordered some Caron baby yarn 2 lbs worth! Hey, they were on sale! What's a gal to do? So I hope its a girl cause one of them is pink and I don't recall what the other color was but anyway I still have 8 months to do everything. I had told her years ago that I would cross stitch her a baby blanket too for when she had a child so yes now its time to get that done. I have one baby afghan with 35 blocks at about 4.5 in x 4.5 in so I could use that or I may order another one with bigger blocks.
Oh! They have already picked out first names too Poe _____ Jones for a boy and Kachana_______Jones for a girl. Shawn picked the first names and Lynnette gets to fill in the middle names. Any ideas? I already told her I am calling her son PJ if she has a boy as Poe is wierd to me but Its after Shawns favorite poet Edgar Allan Poe.
Happy Stitching!
