Happy Halloween!

The kids really got into the spirit of halloween this year. We all had a ton of fun till the wind got so bad we were all freezing so we had to call it a night. I hope everyone enjoyed Halloween as much or more as we did!

My Lady of Snow Update

I didn't realize how long since my last update. But I have been feeling better lately and picked up my stitching again. This is one piece i made sure made it to Ohio with me. I filled in the white areas on the bottom left and then a big chunk of blues and then filled in a bunch of the beads. I hate seeing empty spaces so im beading as i go as well.

Lots going on

I'm truly sorry my posts are far and wide as of late. But i'm going through a lot and haven't had the time to craft of any kind.

#1) I'm getting a divorce from my husband. July 6 will make 11 yrs married and 14 yrs together. The longest relationship i have ever had by far. Though I am OK with all this. I am the one that asked him for it and i have had over a year to prepare myself for it. He cheated on me and more then once. It will never stop and he was never interested in seeing a marriage counselor either. Also for some unknown reason he was always able to be honest and truthful to whoever he was with but never me. The only honesty I have ever got from him is when he admitted to his many flings. I honestly don't/can't trust a single word that comes out of his mouth. There are many other reasons why we are divorcing but this seems to be the main reasons.

#2) I'm moving (see #1 for why) to Toledo, Ohio. My older sister lives there with her husband and two boys so I am going to go there for awhile while i start school in a career i enjoy. It won't be full blown college, just a technical school. Times like this I am thankful I have a wonderful family willing to support and help me out. I will try my best not to be a burden.

#3) My girls and I fly out in about 9 more days and i haven't packed much at all so this will definitely be a busy week. But my monster in laws have suddenly decided this is the perfect time to show up and make my life miserable a bit more so we will see how this week goes. I don't want to be rushing to pack the 2 days before i fly out.

Once I am settled I will try and post more but for now this has to be this way.

Meet Tyson

He's our new to us 13 month old boxer pup. Though he is nearly as tall as my waist so i'm not sure how much i can call him a pup. One of hubby's co-workers said his sister was looking to re home him free. She is divorcing her army husband who is getting a dishonorable discharge. idk why and its none of my business. Anyway she doesnt wanna move 3 kids and a puppy so we are fortunate enough to get him. He's really sweet and doesnt jump thankfully. Even my little Pomeranian likes him until Tyson gets near his peanut butter bone then Duke gets a bit nasty with him. Which in turn makes Tyson sit there and cry and cry and cry so hubby will be going back to the toy store and getting Tyson his own peanut butter bone :)

Polymer Clay delivery and realization w/questions

Joann's recently had a huge sale on polymer clay on there website for $1.50 USD per package vs the normal $2.50 to $3.50 USD they normally are. So i order a bunch to replenish my stash and a little more Sculpey liquid clay as im running low on my other bottle.
Recognize the background? LOL you should as its one i found in the remits bin at Joanns on my trip to OK.  Destiny is using it to make an outfit for her AG doll.

And i realized i'm about 15 posts from my 500th post. I feel i should do something. We should celebrate. Maybe i'll do a contest. Please give me your opinions on it and if i do, what would u all like? A little something from each of my hobbies perhaps? Or maybe the winner gets a choice on what kind of stash to send out of the options i provide?

My trip to Oklahoma - the crafting side

My family decided that spring break we would drive the 10 hrs to Oklahoma to visit with my mom, aunts, uncles and cousins. It turned out to be a long week but definitely worth it as we got to spend Easter day with everyone. Boy was the house full! One of my aunts is a quilter and while i was there she gave me a ton of fabric to bring back with me.

and of course i had to stop at the local Joann fabrics and pick up a few things

Oh I also noticed some stitched pieces around my aunts office and found out she did them but is no longer stitching so she passed me her WIP along with the book of 12 patterns which has been severely loved. ill have to find a way to preserve them. perhaps separating the pages and putting each into a protective clear sheet.

And i got my mom into polymer clay which my girls got to play with while we are there and i made this little guy with them one night. Sadly his 10 hr trip back to Colorado didn't go so well. His wings, tail, and a few legs broke off. So i repaired him the best i could when i got home and am awaiting delivery of this purple color to finish his repairs and complete him. He's my very first dragon but im really enjoying sculpting and am tempted to take a sculpting class or two ^_^

Our cutesy tree ^_^

And we made sugar cookies and the girls had a blast decorating all 6 Dz

My happy little girl :)

and we got lots of snow (sry its sideways but blogger refuse to load it any other way)
they both got video cameras as well thx to nana! And yes they are the ones that can be dropped and not break so yay!

And i got them both there very own sewing kits full of supplies. I just love Kileys face in the above pic, priceless!

Kiley has been begging for a blond ken doll for a long time stating that her girls need a man. This guy came from the "we only send presents on bday and xmas and have no other contact with my grandkids" oma and opa in TX. Kiley promptly said she hates him as he reminds her of that little girl Justin Bieber. So I will have to see about getting her a proper ken doll lol

And this was my gift ^_^ My mom got me a gift card to Bath and Body works. I can't say enough how much i absolutely LOVE B&BW! Anyways they had there annual 75% off sale and i got to pick up 20 new items for myself ^_^

The stitching bug found me a few days ago after i browsed through a few fellow stitching blogs and saw all the pretty stitching ^_^ So for the past 2 days I've been stitching on My Lady of The Snow. See all the green highlighter? That's what i have stitched in my chances to sit. Its had to be nearly 2 years since i have worked on her so it feels good to pick her back up again ^_^

The Royal Gorge

Today my dear friend got in there bright mind that we should drive to Canon City and see the Royal Gorge and even cross the bridge! And me having a giant fear of heights said "OK" Ikr? Absolutely crazy! this thing is like 1/2 mile walk and 1,000 feet over the Arkansas River! But he grabbed my hand and dealt and i think enjoyed my fear as i squeezed his hand and winced at every creak the boards made. yes those are wood boards! You can walk or drive over the bridge. My friend took pity on me and we walked over it 3 times! we walked across once and realized the only way back was to go back across. Then we took the air tram (little red box that goes across on wires) across the gorge. I just about fainted just getting into it and since we were the only ones there we got the box and the conductor to ourselves! So we picked his brain as it went. It wasn't as bad as i thought really. Then we walked the nature path that lead to the opposite side of the bridge hence we had to go across it a 3rd time. It's worse walking across while a car is driving over as you can actually feel the bridge bouncing and moving! At that point i practically ran to the other side of the bridge. Yes i was scared even though i was assured by many that's its completely safe. They also had a zip line across it! Thankfully they were doing maintenance on it so i was spared. In the picture above you can see the wires for the zip line, i swear its longer than the bridge itself. The park also had para sailing but as that is only offered on Saturdays and we went on a Friday i was spared that treacherous fear as well. My friend was determined he could get me over my fear of heights/falling. I glared at him in disgust but truly he is the only one that could have gotten me to go to such a place and I know he would never allow any real harm to come to me ^_^
This is the view of the Arkansas River from the right side of the bridge. We took an incline train thing to the bottom so we got to be like 5 feet from the River where the fences blocked us from getting any closer. You could also see where the old train from the 1800's ran and the wall was blackened. I wish i coulda taken a picture but my phone was dying and one more picture would have made it die.

Updates

I've been crafting here and there but not enough of anything to really show. With winter coming up fast and the nights here now getting cold, my garden is now ending its growth season so i brought in many clippings from plants to try and root. This way i can easily grow them in doors and have a longer growing season next year. I never know what will root esp cause i just set them in a plastic cup of water and put them next to the window and wait. Amazingly enough 80% of them have rooted so far so i have several herb plants as well as tomato and cherry tomato plants! So excited about that! i also discovered a shop on eBay that sells seeds for flowers, veggies, and fruit for 99 cents for 100 to 1000 seeds and no matter how much you purchase the shipping is only $2.50! I went to town buying seeds for spring and am even going to try my hand at growing roses from seeds! I bought purple, blue, green, and black. I'll buy other roses from our local stores next spring so we will have a great mix of colors XD

Anyways, I'll try to post more often. Have a great weekend!
