TOL Sampler Happy Dance!

TOL 2007 Sampler

18 count Beige Aida

Started: January 2007

Completed: March 30, 2008

I just had to finish this, it was getting on my nerves, I was so close to a finish. So I completed it last night and then started on my monochromatic biscournu exchange. I know my exchange deadlines are like a month away but I want to get them finished before I realize the dates a week away, lol. I'll probably do like 1 each week or something so I can still stitch on something to show on this blog. My DMC color that i needed for my 2008 EMS sampler arrived so after I complete the biscournu for my exchange I am going to work on that so I can catch up.

Oh! I forgot to post this last time, its the Day 10 SAL for SMO members. Heres my progress so far as of a few weeks ago. I still have to fill in the castle, stitch the 3 snowmen and then the snowflakes. I just completed the snow and the windows.

Here's Part 8 completed. Looks like I am getting about 1 part complete each day so since this is one day a week, you can expect a Happy Dance in 2 weeks. :)

Collecting Shells and TOL sampler

Okay so here is my progress on Colecting Shells, its not much since I couldn't stitch while I babysat of course, but I got in a few hours and then had to frog about 20 stitches and then I redid what I ripped out. Please forgive the hoop marks as I don't like having to iron it each week before taking a picture though I promise to iron it before I take the final picture.

And as I was putting up collecting Shells for the night I realized that my TOL Sampler had not been completed, so this will be my Sunday project until its completed, maybe another 1 to 2 weeks I think as I completed part 7 and about 1/3 of Part 8 completed too. There are 10 parts to this sampler.

OH! My new Monday project is going to be EMS 2008 Rose Sampler, she releases a new part each month I believe as there is already 3 parts out. So now I have to play catch up, lol.

Anonymous in my last comments - About the lettuce, I called the vet before giving him any and the vet told me anything green and leafy was good for him but that anything orange was bad for him.

TOL Sampler Part 6

Wow I got behind on this one. Our last part which was part 10 was given to us in October and I barely finished part 6 today. I am starting to use a blue in Part 7 and am seriously thinking about using it also for the words. It really bugs me that they are so light.

TOL sampler part 3

I finished part 3 finally, though I'm not too happy about the appointed color for the wording, it seems too light for me. But now I am caught up and waiting for part 4 to be released.

After all that stitching these last several days, I felt like doing a little crocheting and made a bunny magnet and a couple of owl magnets, I need to order the wiggly eyes for the owls but other than that, there done so here they are:

So now I am off to stitch a little something for my mystery exchange and if I get to it, the May flowers exchange.

TOL sampler Part 2 complete

I finished part 2 on my TOL sampler which was released in February. So now I just have to get March's part 3 completed before the end of this month when part 4 will get released.

At th home my poor oldest daughter Destiny has developed the stomach virus. It started on Monday, her appetit decreased and she complained her tummy hurt. The on Tuesday the same thing but at dinner time she threw up tice thankfully in the toilet both times. So this has made her sugar levels high except when she threw up they seriously dropped. So she went to the Dr Wednesday who diagnosed her with a stomach virus and said lots of fluids and sweets to keep her sugar levels up. This is important since she is a diabetic, when she throws up she loses a lot of her sugars she needs to function and the loss of appetite makes it more serious than a non diabetic child. I have to force her to eat and drink and right now I am giving her sweets if she will eat them. But you know she is sick when she denies ice cream. She threw up again today at school so my DH had to go get her, thankfully it was his lunch break. So she got home, we changed her and I popped her right into bed and turned on some cartoons while trying to get juice into her. My DH is picking up some coca-cola for her since that will bring up her sugars the fastest. poor thing, I don't know how Easter Sunday is going to go. I don't know if she will be well enough to go to the Easter egg hunt, I hope she is as this will be her first one.

Weekend progress

Non stitching news:

We got tons of snow so the girls and I went to build a snowman. Destiny wanted to pose with him. We even made him a top hat. She even hugged him good night before we went inside for dinner. Here he is (my daughter was in love with him as its her first snowman):

The thing that upsets me is that some awful kids, I am thinking its the neighbor kids that destroyed him overnight, as he was smashed the very next morning. Destiny was so upset it was all she could talk about all day. Her daddy was going to go out with her so she could rebuild him but that afternoon it started to rain and so there went the snow. I know most of you would say that it was just a snowman and therefore we shouldn't be upset but since Destiny spent most of her life in El Paso, TX where it was a blue moon before you got a tiny bit of snow, this was her first year she got to make a snowman here in Germany. Kiley went with us but quickly became bored and my 2 year old threw snow at me! LMAO! So the snow fight was on! Both girls were giggling like crazy. Destiny even made a snow angel, which I taught her last weekend. Here it is she's still getting up from making it, hope you can see it:
The DH was glued to the computer all weekend that i couldn't get on to even check my email. Saturday we got up at 0730 and boom! He was on the computer and even when I asked him if he was going to be on the computer all day, he was like no just a little bit. e had planned on going to see his grandparents who live about 10 minutes from graffenviere but with the bad snow storm that morning even his grandmother said not to come. So e played with Limewire all day downloading music till midnight! Then Sunday morning the same thing! I think I pryed him away at about 1530. Completely ridiculous! He even refused to go outside with the girls and I to make a snowman which meant so much to Destiny.

Anyways, things were going fine, at 1530 we all left to the bowling alley since the DH is on a league and he said that another guy was bringing his kids so then they could all play together. We got there and nope he didn't show up but luckily the girls were able to play together and give me a bit a peace. It got to about 1700 when Destiny said she was thirsty and so I went and got a pitcher of diet coke since thats the only thing there she can drink. I also gave them the Goober sandwiches I made for both girls with their drinks and sat them down, should be easy right? WRONG!! Kiley stole her sisters soda and was running with it! I got it back gave it to Destiny and then sat Kiley back down with her drink, turn around and Destiny spilt her soda all over the floor, table #1, and my purse! I clean up my purse as much as possible inside and out, thankful that it somehow missed my cellphone. Then I cleaned the floor. Kiley is finished eating and drinking and goes to play. Destiny still eating stays and I go back to the grown up area. Destiny comes over a minute later asking for a sip of my soda, I see no harm in it and hand it to her, by the time she got it to her lips, she dropped it hitting the barstand and splashing all over me. I was so mad by this point. I yelled at her that can't she hold onto anything?? I know it was an accident and she has never been this messy but I couldn't help it, I was soaked in diet coke and sticky as heck. So I get cleaned up the best I can in the bathroom and get the floor and table #2 cleaned back up. My DH takes pity on me and agrees to take us all home. So I get home start dinner and work on unloading the dishwasher while the DH gets back onto the computer. Kiley takes his glass of tea off the table and puts it right behind me while I am unloading the dishes and I turn around and yep you guessed it! I hit the glass which then rolls across the floor hitting the trash can spilling tea everywhere and on me as well! I was so mad I had the DH take the girls into their rooms till dinner. I was now covered in tea and soda and needed the second shower of the day before dinner. Let's just say thankfully dinner and the rest of the evening went without incident.

Stitchy news:
Okay worked on the chinese Goddess I know its not much progress since last time but I got a bit bored with all the yellow so it slowed me down:

And I made my first biscournu! I did the front and then kinda cheaped out and did my first initial on the back using a font I had in one of my books, still I like it. :o)

AND one other thing I started and finished up this weekend! Through the group I am part of we started a sampler a nice lay came up with. Each month she is releasing a new section 8 in total. So here is part one completed of the TOL sampler. We all picked our own colors. There are 5 total but the first section only uses three.

I am doing it on 18 count almond aida with the colors: 350, 518, 522, 3042, 3354 all in DMC floss.
