TUSAL and tinkerbell

So yes I am late this month. Here is my TUSAL this month. I did take the picture on the correct day but am barely getting it posted today.

I am also working on my fair and square exchange squares but its dragging along as I just dont feel like stitching anything. Instead I am crocheting or attempting to make something from it. I'll show you all here if it turns out right. I do apologize for my lack of blogging, the pollen here this year is absolutely horrible! It looks like we have snow in our yard, its that bad. Then you mix the heat in with no air conditioner and yep you guessed it, I am not doing anything! LOL. I am taking more allergy meds lately and it seems to knock me out or make me groggy to the point where I just can't do much of anything. It sux! I have so much I want to be doing.
Tinkerbell graced us with her presence this weekend as well!

Batista wasn't feeling well Friday and just laid in his kennel not really eating and only drinking a little so I pulled him out of his cage at 8 pm and took him outside so he could go potty. He practically crawled outside like every step just hurt. So when I brought him back inside he laid under the table and on his back. DH noticed his lower abdomen had a hole in it! He had licked and knawed on it creating the hole plus he was all dark red! So we called around on post and off post looking for an emergency vet to be open. You know what Germany gives you? one number leading to another number leading to another number and so on. So no way we could take him to get help. So I was crying as yes my first thought was my puppy has an infection and I can't get him in anywhere until Tuesday because its a 4 day weekend and everyone is closed till Tuesday. I sat with him Friday night until he fell asleep. He did get up and moving around on saturday and the hole has healed up but he is covered in a red rash on his adomen. He saw the vet tech yesterday who said this is not normal (duh! did I really need a tech to figure this out for me??) And I need to see the vet himself which means making another appt. Did you know the vet only works in the a.m. 3 days a week? Must be nice! So Batista goes on Tuesday May 2nd to see what this is and what its causing. In the meantime I am not taking him to the dog park or allowing him to play with other dogs. If this was caused by another dog then I know who it was from as he plays with one other husky on this post as of recently. Though the tech said it could be allergies too.

I was stitching this weekend!

Okay so I sewed together the Precious Moments crib blanket for Lynnette. Please excuse the photo, the blanket isn't crooked, I was when I snapped the photo. Its actually large enough to fit easily onto a toddler bed.

Also here is Destiny using the sewing machine. She wanted to sew a pillow for her sister so she picked out a few pieces of felt and I set her up on the machine. She is still learning to sew a straight line and pay attention as she goes but she did pretty good for a 7 year old. ^_^

And after I set up Destiny I was in this huge mood to stitch! I have this adorable blue fabric with lady bugs and daisies on it and it made me think of a perfect pattern! Plus I want to turn it into a pillow for our couch I think. Anyway its another freebie called Love Bug. I am using silkweavers 32 count paradise blue. I'm so happy my stitching bug is back! It feels good to stitch again!

On the non crafting side. DH signed us up for a few fun trips in June while my mom is here and yes she is coming with. We are going to legoland on June 20th and Europa Park on June 27th. They are both all day trips but we paid 80.00 USD for 5 people for each one and this includes entry fees and travel both ways. So its a great deal!

4 more weeks of school left!

Baby Blanket Completed!

I finished this up last night. I used an entire pound of Caron's Baby Yarn for it and a size E crochet hook. So I washed it up and just hung it over my couch for now to snap a pic to show you all but I need to go ahead and block it still which I will do today. Then it will go into the box i am filling up for Lynnette's first little one.

I did cross stitch a little on my monthly Christmas ornaments but not enough to really show you. Destiny is also working on one of them as their are 5 total. Hers is going as slow as mine.

I am going to try and do up my Round 13 squares for the Fair and Square exchange. I want to be able to mail them out Friday even though the mailout date is not until June 15th but my mom arrives on the 12th and DH is taking from June 1st till June 19th for block leave so I may not even make it up to the mail room during the month of June.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mothers Day Glitter Graphics

"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say. It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.
But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day! I apologize for being absent so long but my mood for blogging has become like my mood for stitching, non existent. I haven't stitched or anything as of lately. My monthly christmas ornaments arrived and are stitching this month. I cut the pieces needed and tried to start one but it didn't last long. So I put it away and worked on crocheting the baby blanket for my sis's lil one. Its nearly finished now and I only need the border put on it so I am going to hold off on posting a pic till I finish it as I also want to wash it and block it as well. Hopefully it will be completed today.

DH arrived home late Friday evening and the girls were so happy! As was I! Anyway we talked all last week long and decided we want to have another baby! We are going to hope for a boy this time around as we already have two beautiful little girls, oops I mean young ladies. ^_^ I have to get some skin removed from my uterus as there is not enough room for the skin and a baby. (It was left there from my last c section) Anyway I go on Tuesday to set up my DNC and I believe I have to stay overnight just one night and then we are on to trying!

Oh! Before I forget I did get a new container for my TUSAL! It's big enough I was able to empty all my containers into it and there is still plenty of room so you'll have to wait till the new moon before you get to see it! ^_^

Also the PM fabric i shared with you last post has arrived! The panel is a bit bigger than I thought but I had ordered extra on the backing fabric so all is fine. I am waiting for the binding to arrive and then Friday or Saturday I will buy the batting and next week I can show you the completed blanket.

So Much to say!

Okay first Vermillion Stitchery has released their March door, another cute design! Click Here

Second, the new gift of stitching magazine is out and I just love Helga Mandl's new design! So cute! So look forward to seeing it here as that's what I am going to stitch next. I just had errands yesterday and I have more today so maybe tonight I can start on it.

Third, Have you guys seen the Precious Moments, Noah's Ark Crib set? Its discontinued but the one my sister seems to want for her crib set, she doesn't like any of the other PM designs so I hunted for this set and came up empty. Yesterday i found a website that sells discontinued fabrics and surprisingly the panel was there too! So excited! I ordered the panel, backing fabric, and even some Mint Green blanket binding to match. So I can sew her the blanket and order her some PM crib sheets and she will still get her crib set that she wanted! I took the images from the site so here is the front and back of the blanket:
