That's right I have pulled this out once again. I plan to work on this until its finished though since its been nagging at me for a bit now. I did get the entire left side of the white done and a bit of the top last night, so maybe by Saturday I will have a happy dance.

Peacock Stitching Chair complete!

Well, here it is completed and mailed out, though she will be getting it a few days late since I was sick and all. Here are some pics of it finished:

And I even found some Peacock scissors to match:

And I also mailed out my May flowers exchange and my book/bookmark exchange and I will send pictures of those when I know my partners have received them. It was my very first bookmark and since I got behind I had to put one together quickly.

I am still working on PIF gifts. I will be mailing out a couple of them on my next pay day so you can look forward to pictures of those as they are received. :)

I have been tagged!

Carto and Daisygirl have tagged me so
Here goes:1.Each player must state 8 random facts/habits about themselves.2.People who are tagged write a blog post about their own 8 random things and post these rules.3.At the end of your blog, you need to tag 8 people and post their names.4. Don't forget to leave them a comment and tell them they're tagged and to read your blog.
1. I have to have my cup o' joe each morning or I basically can't/won't function throughout the day
2. I am the only one in my house who cleans the kitchen. Even when I was laid up in the hospital last year for a week, my DH just let the dishes pile up.
3. I get bored living in the same place for more than one year at a time.
4. I rearrange our furniture every 6 months, I get bored with the way it looks.
5. I hate taking my daughter to school in the mornings, I make my DH do it.
6. I hate being late anywhere, it grinds on my nerves and my DH is the king of tardiness so I tell him we have to be there 15 minutes before the actual appointment so while he thinks we're late we're actually on time!
7. I have hypertension because things stress me out so easily that it makes my blood pressure high. I am a highly stressed out person...
8. I won't drink coffee without my flavored creamer and I love my coffee strong.

Okay so thse aren't the most exciting 8 things but I am in the middle of my coffee so consider this my brain not being fully awake.

I tag: Dawn, Natalie, Mercy, Tuula, Pamela, Dani, and Chiloe

PIF gift

Well, I was so sick yesterday and then this lovely PIF gift from Tuula came in. She did a christmas theme and made a little ornament for me and also sent some bookmarks, fabric and two hand dyed floss from Dragon Floss. Thank you Tuula, I love it and it certaintly made me feel a bit better. :o)

And tomorrow I will have for you a final picture of the Peacock stitching chair. It will be mailed out late but I will email my mom and let her know her gift is on its way. She can blame me praying to the big white porcelien god for it being late, all I can say is thanks Destiny and Kiley for sharing. I am also mailing out a couple of exchanges too so when those are recieved I'll post photos of those.

This has also made me realize I need to get cracking with my PIF gifts so I won't be starting any new projects except for the exchanges I am already signed up for. That way I can get a few done, this really got the ideas rolling in my head. :)

Okay so I have been stitching but I can't show right now. I stitched a bookmark for an exchange which is going out tomorrow as it is pouring all day today so I will venture out tomorrow to the post office. Also today I have plans to complete the stitching on my peacock stitching chair and get it pieced together as it needs to go out tomorrow too so that my mom receives it on time.
In the meantime, I have some pictures of Bamberg to share with you. This past weekend we went to the Cathedral and on a boat ride through Bambergs rivers and had lunch at the cutest little mom and pop Italian restaurant.

The cathedral

Us all together on the top of the boat, aww

I'm back with pictures. :o)

First, I'm sorry guys to have left you hanging for this long, my DH was kind enough to not pay our phone/internet bill and we were turned off and that's how I found out he wasn't paying it. So now I am taking charge and paying myself each month. Anyway on to updates

On the stitchy front:

I received a PIF gift (her name escapes me right now) I was thrilled to see this, its awesome, thank you!:

Also I was part of a mystery exchange, here's what I sent since she has now received it:

And here's what I received in return from Iseabail, its a covered tape measure, beautiful BTW: And finally I have been working on the Peacock stitching chair. Here's some pics of the WIP:

This is the arm bands and the front of the drawer, theres a tassel that goes in the middle of the initials and the year. The bands took me 2 days to get done as I had to be sure they were opposite so when put together they would match.

Here is the scissor fob, it took me a few days too because for some reason I had to keep frogging the border around the year. I was spacey or something those days.

And here is the front of the chair, its not finished but will be today.

Carolyn: I'm sorry if it seems I am going fast on this one, I did receive your email and I believe I sent you one back. I have to finish this by the 15th to get it out in the mail so my mom will receive it in time for her bday on the 22nd. I plan to stitch a second one for me so keep going on yours please.

Also: I sent Dawn a belated bday gift and forgot to post pictures after she recieved it so here they are:

And on the bday/xmas club my partner Veronica's bday was April 13th, the day for my DH's bday and here is what I sent to her:

She's learning to knit and all and only had one set of needles so I bought her another 3 sets, plus some stitch markers, yarn, floss, a mix of teas, aida fabric and a card. I'm glad she liked it all. :o)

On the other side: About a week ago: My DH went to Sweinfurt for some training for 10 days and he twisted his ankle badly He is on crutches. He tripped stepping out of a 5 ton vehicle, twisting the same ankle that last year in July I had broke. LOL I had to laugh when he called and told me. He has to be on crutches for this week and then light walking for next week and then he should be fine.
My biological father came into town too, he was contracting in Iraq and took time off and got here May 1st. Its been nice since the last time we saw each other was 3 years ago. Though some things about him are driving me crazy, like his obsession with my kitchen, there can never be one dish in the ink or he washes it and then I get lectured on why I should have a strainer for the dishes next to my sink. I have a dishwasher but he won't really use it. There are some other things too but I don't want to spend this post complaining about him.

Also my DH's mother and stepfather arrived on April 19th and left May 4th. We met them at the airport and all and spent the day with them. But the DH left the next day to Sweinfurt, so they refused to visit or even call while he was gone. When the DH asked them when he returned they said I could have called them but they knew my phone wasn't working. I could only receive phone calls. I was so mad, again this woman is blaming her lack of whatever on me. You know they only spoke to my girls once in 15 months and that was a week before they arrived and also because I made my DH hand the phone to the girls.
Anyway I guess thats about it. I will be spending time in the next few days catching up and commenting on all of your blogs.
Oh! Before I forget I sent out postcards to everyone who sent me there snail mail for our post card exchange. Whitcalla I received yours. Malaysia looks beautiful, I'm now considering my vacation for there next year. :o)
